Frequently Asked Questions

What is DMARC?

DMARC (Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting and Conformance) is an email authentication protocol that uses SPF and DKIM to verify email senders and tells receiving servers what to do with emails that fail authentication.

What should my DMARC policy be set to?

Start with 'none' policy to monitor, then move to 'quarantine' and eventually 'reject' once you're confident your legitimate emails are properly authenticated. For cold email senders, at minimum set p=quarantine.
